<aside> 💡 The digital cut-up. Create a notebook program that reads in two or more texts and stores portions of them in Python data structures. The program should create textual output that creatively rearranges the contents of the text. Use functions from the randommodule as appropriate. You must use lists as part of your procedure. Choose one text that you created with your program to present in class.

Using old poetry

I wanted to create something new using old poetry I had written. This poem was written in 2018 which already places it out of context. Poetry, inherently, is more symbolic than direct. In this exercise of the digital cut-up I wanted to make nonsense out of something that is borderline “jibber jabber.”

Final

These are for the most part random sentences of 3 pairing word structures. Clumping words into 3 words is giving the words structure. The words are the same, repeating. But its ultimately nonsense. There is no linear story or thread to grab on to.
